As we look back at the year, we can’t help but feel grateful. We made it. We have our health, we have our family, we have our jobs, and my goodness, have we grown. Although 2020 was, quite literally, a disaster – it created an opportunity for our family that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. It created a closeness – a bond that would not exist without the days, weeks and months that we had together, just hanging out.

We spent the year improving our family’s first home. Copious amounts of time in our house on Holiday Hills allowed us to create the environment that we dreamed about. Our house feels like a HOME and we love being here!

Our careers, against all odds, thrived this year. We both grew professionally, and we are so thankful for that. We had a lot of personal growth this year as well. We met an amazing mentor and coach who has transformed our lives and helped us gain clarity and freedom that will empower us forever. We also celebrated our one year wedding anniversary!

W is crushing distance learning. 4th grade is a breeze, and with daily class zoom calls, being stuck at home isn’t so bad. We couldn’t be more proud of the young man W is becoming. He is kind, thoughtful, smart, and pretty hilarious.

P is really coming out of her shell. Submitting all of her class assignments in video form has given her the confidence to show everyone the P that we have always had the pleasure of knowing. She is a singing, dancing, caring, free soul.

L is something fierce. She has been nicknamed “Nonni” because of the grandmotherly wisdom she drops on her siblings. She is an old soul with a sassy spirit. As girly as ever, and as tough as nails. L is driven, focused and incredibly goofy.

Z is a beast. Athletic, smart, clever and a total softy. Kindergarten (even remotely) looks good on him! His creative side has come out recently, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up as the lead singer in a band. Watch out world, here comes Z.

So, despite this crazy year, we will count our blessings. We miss you all so much, and can’t wait until we can be reunited! Happy holidays, happy new year, and good riddance 2020.
